Costa d'en Blanes history 

Since its origins, Costa d'en Blanes has been influenced by Roman and Arab cultures, elements that have left their mark on the architecture and character of the area. The name refers to the landowners in this area. The entire region belonged to the Blanes family. Even today, a significant portion of land to the west of Mallorca remains in the possession of the descendants of this family. Many street names in the village are derived from the name of the founding family such as Tomos Blanes Tolosa.
